OK, i just finished cranking my t-bars, and taking her around the block jerking the wheels purty good..

Here are some meaurements,, ANYONE tell me if i need to have an alignment now...

Stock wheel well to tire measurments::

LEFT TIRE: 6 1/4"
RIGHT TIRE: 6 3/4"

AFTER T-BAR CRANKING 5 turns LEFT TIRE, 4 turns RIGHT TIRE (FOR evening out purposes)

LEFT TIRE: 8-8 1/8"
RIGHT TIRE: 8 1/8"

NOW AFTER SUSPENSION TESTING AROUND BLOCK!!
LEFT: 7 3/4"
Right: 7 1/2"

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP...OH yeah on the right side i have another 1/4 bolt stocking out and on the left side maybe 1/8 sticking out..
RIGHT TIRE:

A golden rule, is you should always get an alignment after any steering or suspension change.

Not sure why it's changing so much though :-/

Yes you will need an alignment as your toe setting will be out now, as you drop the control arms (lifting it) the tie rods get shorter causing it to toe in.

Yes you are going to need an alignment. The reason is because the Ranger SLA suspension is simply not designed to eliminate bump steer.

Also the camber will be off most likely since as you increase the angle of the control arms the more the top of the tire will tilt inwards towards the frame rails. Get an alignment. At worst you'll need a set of camber adjuster bolts for the upper control arms, at best they can get enough adjustment out of the stock ones.

OK well if that was the case, cant i just DE-crank them a little and not need camber bolts??

I cranked mine about an inch and didn't need to adjust camber, just toe. (Camber was still in spec)

Same with me on my sport trac, i leveled the front end and all I had to adjust was the toe

all is good, had my alignment...cost $61...I needed a washer on the driver side, something about the stock one is square and the new one is rounded that way it can slide out and the tire is aligned...something like that......All is fine now though...I love the way the truck feels now...anyway thanks for the input ya'll

Man I didn't get a alignment soon enough after tweaking my t-bars. Blew out both wheel bearings!! $150 each sucked pretty bad.

If you carefully measure position of a tie rod end before and after replacing. How bad do you need an alignment?

You should still have the alignment checked, bad toe settings will wear out tires faster than you know what
