Hey evryone,
So, I just got a 2002 Ranger edge, everything is stock, and no power windows or doors. I installed power doors and put in a nice nav, but i dont know if i put on 33' bfg all terains and give it a 3' lift kit, if i will have any power cause i have a 3.0. So do you think it would be fine, or im looking at an '01 ranger edge with a 5 inch lift and 33's and is a 4.0. Which do you think is the right way to go????? Thanks soooooo muchh

A 3' lift kit, wow, you want a ladder to get in?

so ur saing the '01 4.0 would be the way to go?
and 3' isnt that high unless ur reallly short hahaa

3' is up to my hip. 3" is up to my ankle.

Find out what gears you have in your axle before you decide as they will be the biggest influence on the go-factor.

Give him a break. It's a big deal and a lot of money and if you've never thought about it before then ya it can be intimidating.

A 3" lift and 33s will be alright and as long as you're geared correctly then the 3.0 will be fine.

Get the 4.0. It is the SOHC so it has a ton of power and will get better mileage than the 3.0 will even think about. Belive me, I've had both. I wish I still had my 4.0L.

reallly?
i would think the 4.0 would get really bad gas milage, i assumed it was a gas guzzler.

Well I have the 3.0 flex with 31" tires on average I get 16mpgs. the biggest problem I found it seems to be under power a bit so you are always on it trying to get things going. But I have to say that I have never had a engine issues with a 125k and it seems the harder I drive the more it trys to give me.

4.0 for the win!! you will never regret having a bit more power, and differences in gas milage are negligible, especially once you throw on 33's...
