Junkyard rip off on my ranger..

What are you looking for there Wrecker, I have two stock tape decks out of 88's. One is funky, one works pretty well. Let ya have them both super cheap + shipping if that's what you are looking for.

Looking for a old 83-85 analog radio for my little pos rackbody.

Also. I am against junking 1st gens. Part it out. May take a while, but it would help some people.

I think $300 sounds fair personally. I sold a 91 Explorer with a seized trans and blown head gasket for $170 to the junk yard. What you've put into it to keep it drivable is a moot point to a buyer. Just because I paid money for a fuel pump doesn't mean I can tack it onto the price when I sell it tomorrow (literally selling it tomorrow).

In early July I scrapped my dead (trans) 1998 escort.

based on it's weight they paid me $365 for it.

a Ranger is considerably heavier.

The price of scrap has gone UP since then.

its hard to find solid cars in PA tho, most rust away first :D

300 is a very fair price, considering scrap just dropped below $200 a ton (its $170 in my area). BUT, its still kinda rude for them to call you and then tell you they can't pay what you want, its not like you called them.
