I posted my ranger on craigslist to sell in order to fix my other truck, someone from a junkyard calld me today an asked me about my truck they askd what was wrong with it i said a blown engine then they say how much u want i said atleast 6 hundred they said cant go any higher then 3 hundred so i said i have got way to much money into that truck to let it go for 3 hundred. The truck body is in two nice of a shape an they seat is in good shape some ware to let go for that cheap. I said hell no an hung the phone up.If anyone needs any parts from my ranger 2.8 v6 2wd auto. drop a meg on here an i will get u a price an the part if i still have it.

maybe try posting an ad in the "for sale" section about a part out???

I think $300 sounds fair personally. I sold a 91 Explorer with a seized trans and blown head gasket for $170 to the junk yard. What you've put into it to keep it drivable is a moot point to a buyer. Just because I paid money for a fuel pump doesn't mean I can tack it onto the price when I sell it tomorrow (literally selling it tomorrow).

yeah only way you'll get more, maybe.. is if you find someone that has a motor. but even then, i wouldn't pay $600 and then have to swap a motor myself.. lol. OR you part it out yourself. which is more cash, but WAY more time. think about it. $300 is probably a good price for a JY. i know our local lots won't give that much.. they cap theirs at like $250

It doesn't run and it's an old truck. Scrappers are going to offer 300 bucks. Sounds about right to me. Frankly I love the 1st gens and its a horrible thing to hear when one goes to the scrapper.

I wish you were closer and I would take the sheetmetal. If I remember right yours was really straight and clean.

I just saw one getting towed today. Pretty sure it was on it's way to the yard.

Body was good and all (I've seen it before) but I think it just got pulled out of the river. It was covered in mud up over the roof and I know the owner's house had water in the first floor. I almost stopped and asked where he was going with it.

i'd take the 300 for it man. cut your losses and move on. maybe do some extra babysitting or some shit for some extra money to fix up your other truck

He can take it himself and get more than 300 if it is just scrappers asking him.

Is the radio stock in it by any chance?

Coca Cola out the nose when I read this dude. Holy crap that's funny.

Can someone rep him for me? I'm all rep'd out on him.

id hate to see any gen1 goto the scrappers, even tho there are no gen1s at my local salvage yard so i cant find parts -_- once i get money rolling in(aplied to work at autozone) im gona snatch up any gen1's i see before they goto the crusher for my parts stock pile.

What are you looking for there Wrecker, I have two stock tape decks out of 88's. One is funky, one works pretty well. Let ya have them both super cheap + shipping if that's what you are looking for.

 i just paid 25$ for a factory tape deck, plus 5$ for a pack of backlight bulbs for it...
