junkyard cat an resinator

well i need that oval adapter an cat an resinator for my project truck an i dont want to have to fork out 300+ for a new one so i was goin to check the wreckers, my truck is a 92 ranger 4x4 4 litre, will an adapter cat, res from any 4L ranger/ explorer work?

i was just goin to look for the newest truck an take the best lookin one? will that work?

I may be wrong, but IIRC at least in the US a junkyard can't even sell a used catalytic. Not sure about your neck of the woods.
