I did a quick search and didn't find anything related, so I figured I start a new thread about what junk yard mods work. I'll try and update my original post here with all the new information you guys post. Let's get us a good list going!

Exterior:
89-92 ranger owners can swap over 91-94 explorer grills, bumpers, and front valances. The limited model offers the most desirable parts.

89-92 & 93-97 ranger owners can use the "fog light" front valance off a 93-97 4wd.

93-2011 ranger taillights will all interchange. The wiring may have to be altered depending on what year you're trying to swap to.

93-2005 ranger mirrors will interchange. 2006+ ranger mirrors will work on 93-2005 rangers after performing a few mods.

93+ rangers can install 95+ explorer puddle lights - you have to use the explorer outer housing on a 93+ power window base.

Interior:
Most ford buckets seats will work in our rangers. You just have to use your bucket or 60/40 tracks. If you currently have a bench seat, you'll need to find bucket or 60/40 tracks that will bolt into your truck, then bolt your new seats to them.

Explorer OHC (over head console)

There's not a lot of OEM consoles for the 60/40 or bench seats seats. If you got with buckets, the explorer full length would be my choice.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you're saying 91-94 Explorer front trim will fit 89-92 Rangers -sounds about right.

Great thread!

Yep, better fix that.

I'll add a bunch more tomorrow evening... lets keep this thing going.

For the '95+ interiors. I don't know how things would line up with the older style dashes.

The 91-94 Explorer console is pretty decent though, I have one in mine. It didn't exactly bolt in my standard cab so I don't know if I would call it a swap though. It can be made to fit at any rate :icon_thumby:

Another option would be a 95+ s10 blazer full length console. I think they'd look pretty good in a ranger.

Also, 95+ explorers still had the half consoles are whatever they are called. Here's the one that was in my 95 explorer sport.
