I was going to lunch at Sharky's Cassino here in Gardnerville the other day when I drove past a parked El Camino, in the bed of the Camino was a engine that looked like it had just been pulled from a old car that had been sitting a looong time.
Just had a glimps of it so I couldn't tell just which one it was but it was either a Chevy 348 or a 409

My first words to my friend were "Oooo, WHERE did he find THAT"???

Most likely a 348 but ya never know. About 20 years ago, dude that lived across the street from me had a '49 Chevy pickup on a '79 Blazer 4x4 frame with a single-quad 409 in it. Very cleanly built, fast, and a lot of fun.
