I have a 1999 3.0 with the 4r44e and when I get up to speeds of 45 and up(about the set speeds the trans goes into overdrive) I get a sort of jerk back and forth from what seems like the torque converter lock-up slips and goes back in right away. It only happens going up hills and lightly accelerating in overdrive. When I pull trailers with lots of weight I don't use overdrive and I am not a hard driver at all.
Is this a sign of the transmission going, or maybe an overdrive electrical sensor of some sort? Oh, and no check engine light also.

Thanks, Alex

took it in and found out the torque converter was junk so time for a new one
