Josh40601's Build Thread. (D-ranged)

I suddenly have a craving for coors light now

I spent some time wrenching on this one yesterday. Started swapping the interior panels, and installed the Explorer buckets. Once Rick gets up here, I'll install the lower console. Pretty much just a mock up, as the tan carpet and dash are still installed.

likely going to be spending some time on the Chebby. Check that thread for updates. Once you check it, you will see why i am spending a little time on it :)

Not really an update. Just ordered some new flares. Found a full set on eBay for 200 bucks shipped. You can't even buy 1 pair for that price unshipped.

Flares are here finally. Also worked on my new rear bumper. Hoping to get it finished up this week.

Looks great. You do very clean work.

Just a suggestion but, you should incorperate a hitch reciever to go behind the license plate. Just have the plate flip up.

Sure is. He lost a caliper bolt yesterday, so I had to rescue him, then we headed out to the shop for some metal work.

Ordering the paint for his lid today

Thanks buddy!!

Already had that drawn up in the plans.

Now Steel can't, due to keeping his spare tire in the factory location. It was going to cause us to cut the receiver almost in half to get it to fit, and I was worried that would cause problems. If it was on the front, I wouldn't worry, but Steel tows his boat A LOT and I don't want to worry about it.

Worked a little more on the bumper

Tacked

what's the reason for all the tack-tacks and not a continuous bead? or short strings of beads in various places, as to not cause warpage?

Ya... it's real metal, not pop can sheet metal... Lay a bead!
