Jolt between 2nd and 3rd

Hey guys,

I have a 04 ranger with a 4cyl 2.3l. And I have been experiencing a problem since i got it about a year ago. The transmission has a jolt between 2nd and third gear. Its an Auto BTW.

I have no idea what is causing it, all other gears are perfect and it won't do it on the downshift. Its not a massive jolts, but i notice there is a slight elevation in rpm right before the "kick"

I was wondering if anyone has had this issue or if you knew a solution. Someone told me it may be the speed sensor. Any thoughts?
