idk why, but ive never liked the beatles music, not to mention Lennons music.
i feel somehow sarcastic and false the fact that he had this image of love and good will, but made millions from his music, why not giving it for free then?

John and Yoko gave millions to charity and built a few parks as well with their money. They helps feed a lot of people in the USA. They gave money for animal shelters as well. They will always earn my respect.

How many other singers have done this? Not many, Bro.

The Beatles music changed with every album. They are what made the most important change in history for all types of music and for other musicians to be able to adapt and make better music as well.

Yeah, I agree...the Beatles did provide us with plenty of music...what any individual contributes to society otherwise is usually hard to determine...and most rich people who give money or otherwise support charities, education, or individuals usually don't publish their giving...it would be against the very principle of giving to brag about it...

My favourite Lennon music was the stuff he did after he died...

he died 3 years before i was born, dont know much about him other than the fact that he was a beatle. i dont care for his music, but i do like some of the beatles stuff.

Actually, he was quoting what the press and the fans had said about the Beatles....more people admitted they listened to their music rather than go to worship. John said ' according to the fans and the press it appears we have become more popular then Jesus Christ '. At that time frame less teens went to church...the times were changing.

Everybody looked like hippies back them!!! Some of the most beautiful woman I met back in the late 60's and 70's were hippies. Even in the 80's they still did not want to grow up. Happy to share the shirt of their backs and the rest of their food as well. Look at all the musicians today who have that long hair and still dress different. This is what makes the world go around!!! If we all looked the same, if we drove the same car, if we could not laugh...we would all go insane!!!!

I was a kid when the Beatles became popular......they were a great group....

however.....I did have enough sense to know 2 things wouild cause problems....

1. they should have corrected the media when it said they were more popular than Jesus.

2. That great song IMAGINE only had one flaw in which problem #1 was re-emphasized.......imagine no religion---I understand their point that MEN can't handle religion properly---but, Dudes!

It's just bad Karma to mess with God....trust me--I am a doorgunner...

i have a little challenge for anyone that cares to take it up.

get a piece of paper and write down the name of whatever you think is the greatest of todays musicians.....

put that paper into a time capsule....

in 40 years,open that time capsule and ask random people on the street to name one song by that musician.




i bet $20 that they won't be able to,but will be able to name a song by the beatles or one of it's members.(remember,by then they'll have been broken up for 80 years)


if you can prove me wrong,track me down....i'll have your $20 waiting.
