My credo
Confused and Intolerant
I am facing my dad in getting this truck fixed, and it is a pain in the ass to just talk to him about the possibility of getting a single part of the truck sometime in the next few months with my own money, and on my own time, with my friend, and my friend's transportation....

Now, he said I am required to get a job before he lets me get this frame, I also need to find a place where it wont be seen.

His words in quotes:

"You are not allowed to work on that truck until you get a job, period"
"I do not want another piece of junk sitting around.... ....I want it either finished or gone"
"If you want to get anything for that truck, you are on your own"

Earlier this year quote:

"Sure Jean-Luc, if I get this job here at Corning again, we can rebuild that truck, I have been looking at some rebuild kits...... (little later) .....we will talk about this later, its getting old"

WTF?

Now, any ideas?
People close to Wellsboro offering a labor or under the table job?
Any input or advice?

Now, remember, my dad is not one to confront with an arguement, he will just get pissed and take away privilages that normal people usually don't worry about, such as loss of computer use, internet use, ATV use, having to work all day, or being told to do a hard chore. (easy stuff).

Now, although easy, they are very time consuming and annoying, so I would like some ideas/advice/opinions/jobs to help me avoid those things.

My goal is to get the frame and put my truck on it. Will be a few months work, will hopefully finish by early 2011, allowing me to drive to school for a few weeks/days before my senior year lets out.

What is wrong with the frame you got?

well, in short, my frame was in bad enough condition to where I stepped on the back bumper and it snapped off with a chunk of the frame with it.

Just get the job, and don't attempt to live a lie under the nose of an unreasonable man.

what are you talking about?
he may be unreasonable, but a liar? no, he admits to all his lies, and apologizes too.
My dad is one of the most respectful people I know, and I do look up to him, but he is sometimes a hard ass.

if getting a job was that easy, I would have been working last year 0_0

I didn't mean him being a liar, I meant for you not to live a lie by trying to do this behind his back.

listen man, I know what youre feeling. It sucks, a lot. I grew up without 2 pennies to rub together, and couldnt get a job because I would have had to find a drive 30 minutes just to get into town. Its rough, but do what you can. I now have a BSc undergrad degree, and am in Dental school. Its only now that I have the funds to work on my truck, and do the things that I want to. I graduated 6 years ago, and am currently in my 6th year of university.

Work hard, and stay in school, it will pay off. And when it does, youll be able to do whatever you want to your truck, and show your old man what youre capable of.

Really, when chunks of FRAME come off, that is a clue, ya need to sell dude!

strip and scrap, really it's NOT worth the light of day to swap frames, the frame is the soul of the truck!

Get rid of it, it's a money pit, something at your age you don't need!

..and a Question for Nathan, do you give patients a 75/25 of Nitrous/oxygen or do you give your patients a 80/20 of Nitrous/oxygen, or would that start depriving oxygen to brain cells?

Everything else except the bed is fine =P

Hahaha you've got that a little mixed up. Normal working concentrations are about 70% O2 to 30% N2O. Usually if you go any more than that you'll end up with a bunch of puke on your lap. We dont use N2O that often anyway, usually just a local administered anesthetic.

So to answer your question in a nut shell....yes that is WAY too much nitrous. :icon_thumby:

more stress.... girlfriend left me and blocked me on facebook, and after a trip to her house, where she did not answer the door, Jason cheered me up (my friend Jason from school).

He drove me over to see her, but feeling better, a little hurt on the inside, but better than I was earlier.

Unless you are a dental wimp like me. I can pry stickers and thorns out of my arms, fingers, feet - with a rusty knife, but - the dental drill - aaaaargh. I can't help thinking of Marathon Man "Is It Safe?"

And Kip.....hang in there...theres lots of fish out there.

yeah, gonna wait until it finds me most likely =P HS relationships are overrated, gonna give it a few months before I even consider anyone as a potential gf. but I migh just wait till college.

If not a girlfriend, but just a girl-friend
