Jeeps, offroading?

thats the kind of thing you just let the mud start flying and hope for the best. If you go slow like they all did your just gonna be sitting there.

I could get through those puddles with my bicycle.

so much for "Trail Rated"

Told a Jeeper off Saturday when he came up and started giving me crap about being hung up on a rock. Told him I didn't see any other STOCK trucks running the trail

ya i do not like jeeps too much ether. i t boned one while off roading funny story. the jeep guy had a bet my ranger would not make it up a steep sandy hill so he went up it and made it but when he got to the to he parked his truck right at the edge of the hill where you come up and i made it up and i did not see him and t boned his 2000 jeep it had a huge dent on his driver side and he just scratched my pre runner bar and pushed it up a little nothing a lil paint and heat could not fix.

I bet all of you get stuck just the same, wheeling is wheeling people, besides, you guys sound just as bad as the "jeeper" types.

nah. i talk trash while i pull them out of the mud that way if they say anything about my truck i just unhook from them and tell them to wait for another heep to pull them out. its amazing how much ass someone will kiss just to get out of a hole.

jeeps are fun to make fun of but i would rather wheel with a jeep than a chevy...

Don't forget some of us Ranger types are Jeep types too...

Personally, I've taken my Grand Cherokee into some really tight spots on 235/75-15s. Scraped my skid plates pretty good, but made it. Riding on 30s now and while better, need more lift too.

My 90 Ranger with 6" lift holds its own, but it is getting rehabbed for more flex.

Both trucks do fine, depends on if you build it for what you are doing. Though, the ZJ does ride better...

i dont know about everyone else, but for some reason i dont lump the Cherokee into the same category as the A-typical CJ body styled jeep. The only reason i dont like jeeps is due to the fact that it has been over done to the extreme. My town is one of the pit stops on the way to moab so iv seen my share of offroad rigs and every single one of them has been a jeep, one way or another, and looking at the suspension its obvious the owner didnt spend any kind of serious thought into the desine of the 4x4. Me and my buddy have a saying for people like that. "I bet he spent a lot of time and money BUYING that nice offroad vehicle". You do have do give it credit for being an awsome 4x4 vehicle but imho there a dime a dozen, and you dont get the same gratification that you do with a home made rig when you wheal something thats has been bought. Like they say, real trucks are built not purchased.
