Anyone have any idea how the push-rod on the clutch master cylinder is held in place on the TJ's. All the master cylinders I've seen before have had a rod with a mushroom head that holds in onto the cylinder but this thing just has a straight rod. I assume there is supposed to be some kind of clip that holds it as the rod passes through the interlock switch and the other end has the large loop that connects to the pedal. It's apparently a fairly common issue for the rod to fall out, which makes for an interesting drive. It can be put back into place and the clutch works fine until you hit a bump or let the pedal up quickly, then it falls out again. After spending a few hours searching the net without success I decided to consult the oracle of knowledge that is TRS. And before the jeep bashing starts, NO it's not mine.
