I recently got a ranger that needs a bit of interior work. I'm putting in new carpet, headliner, and seats. I had some questions about getting seats. I was thinking about jeep ones because they look pretty nice. Do you know if Trailmax Pro or Trailmax Sport seats fit in a 98 Ranger, or will they sit too high? What other brands would you suggest? If jeep seats aren't going to work I was also thinking about racing seats. Any input would be helpful, thanks!

the tech article is very vague and outdated imo, i am also wondering about seats? not to thread jack but... will explorer seats bolt in to a 93 ranger? what years would bolt in if they do at all?

When it comes to seats you really just have to measure the seat you want and measure the space you have in the truck. It is almost impossible to say that any specific seat will fit, because there are so many out there and the floor/seat brackets are completely different on every vehicle.

I put Eddie Bauer Bronco II seats in my Ranger. I had to custom make all of the mounting brackets. When I get around to restoring my F150, I will be leaving the bench seat in it because I don't want to deal with finding buckets and making brackets for them.

I agree the tech article is VERY vague.

Yes you can fit explorer seats in your ranger. I'm guessing you have an extended cab based on your avatar...you can fit buckets seats in yours all the way up to 2001. After that you have to swap in the donor vehicle's seat tracks. :icon_cheers:

yeah, im not doggin the the article at all props to the guy but its just a little shady, but anyway yes i have the ex cab sweet, i have a better chance at gettin decent sploder seats b/c my jy hasnt had a ranger over 2nd gen for 3 months and explorers are EVERYWHERE. forest ranger im sorry no one seems to know about jeep seats, theres a guy on here i forget his name, got racing seats and made his own brackets and they turned out nice, you just got to be creative if you have the tools.
