So the Jeep rear D35 carrier will fit the Ranger/Explorer front D35. Which Jeeps came with the D35 and are there carrier breaks ??? I'm installing 4.88 gears and found a Jeep Lockrite for cheap.

Pretty much every model Chrysler-built Jeep had the D35 rear in most models (rear D44s became more common with TJs)

Carrier break is 3.31down, 3.55up.

a lot of the cherokees and comanchees came with a chrysler 8 3/4" or is that 8 1/4"?:icon_twisted:
would a arb from a heep work or is the air line in a different spot?

I think those appeared in the late '90s if I'm not mistaken (too late for the Comanche).

Air fitting goes wherever you want to put it.

Thanks all for the info. Stock Jeep D35 is 27 spline. So is Ranger/Explorer D35.
