jeep cherokee front axle swap into ranger

wagonerr's all had d44 fronts.

what he said...

and just because its a "wood" panel covered cherokee doesnt make it a waggoneer, and it takes a decent amount of lift to clear 33's on a cherokee, if it IS a waggoneer, then it HAS a d44.

find out your facts before you start arguing about things you are incorrect about. I can't be bother to ecucate you so go find out the facts about the difference between the later wagonner and the grand wagoneer.

I agree - there are Wagoneer versions of the XJ and ZJ. The big wagoneers got phased out in favor of the two below. The big ones are the ones that come with D44's.

Regardless, I will agree with those who say building a 44 or 60 will be a much better idea.

my 73 waggy had a D30. it was a weak POS, but then again I had 400 hp on it, everything behind that engine was weak. even when it went into the 76 cherokee, the stock 44's were weak. point is, before 74 dana 30s were used in the waggy in the front with 44s in the back.
