im trying to keep the width the same on my 95 ranger.. im gonna do leafs not coils in the front and i got a idea that a jeep Cherokee front end would work in my ranger just clarifying that it will work

ps. im going to be swapping both front and rear end.. and if anyone knows a good site were it will tell me if jeeps put 4.10 gears and up in their stock axles thanks

It could work, but the D30 would be a step backward from a D35 that you have, or that would bolt right in... Don't even think about using the rear axle... Ford's 7.5" is stronger than a D35 and the 31 spline 8.8" would be even better... I'd go with a cut down HP44 or a EB44, and coil springs since you are going backwards trying to use leafs (you're truck is set up for coils already)...

a yj 4 banger would have 4.10 gears in it. although it has the vacuum disconnect, you can remove the 2 piece inner shafts and replace with a tj shaft. the yj axle housing is the strongest of the dana 30s and its a high pinion. going leafs is a total waste in my opinion.

well my dad is arguing with me to keep the axles the same width as the truck and wat i really want to do is put a dana 44 closed knuckle front end with a dana 60 in the rear but hes like that will stick out to much so he said look for jeeps.....

so i was gonna put a jeep front end in and hopfully one that has 4.10 gears cause my ford 7.5 has a limited slip in it which i want to keep lol..

An EB D44 is the same width as an RBV or you can get a HP D44 and have it cut down to RBV width... If I was going through the effort of a SAS I'd go ahead and do a D44 at least, otherwise I'd just swap in a D35...
