This week i am converting my 92 ford ranger 2wd into a 4x4. I already put the jeep axle under a 95 frame and put a 6 inch lift on it. I was wondering how hard it would be to put my body on the 95 frame? I got everything pulled apart now and ready for the swap but I know the drive shaft wont be long enough. I know someone who would weld it for me but i dont know how to make sure it is perfectly straight. Do any of you know were or who would know how to do this?

get a one piece shaft from a 98+ truck. look in the tech library for the one piece conversion. or have a custom one made.

a driveline shop would be able to make sure the shaft is balanced.

i wanna do the same on my 93 came u tell me what aproach u took to mount the axle and some pics of how its mounted.
thanks
ryan

As for the body... If you have four beefy friends, or 6 average friends, the cab isn't that hard to lift and move. However, if you are careful, 2 people can do the work with an engine lift, which is how I did it when I swapped cabs. 2 people can move the bed, 4 are better...
