i wanna put some new headers on the ranger i did some research ORW has a set for $366. need some feed back about what yall got and are you happy with the results thanks

I know this is an old thread, but $366? Are SOHC headers that much cheaper? I havent seen a set of JBA for my truck for less than $600. The cheapest Ive seen are headman shorties for $300 uncoated

I'm running JBA ceramic coated on my '06. They've been on for 4 years, with no problems to date. Very happy with them.

Installing the driver's side took about 4 hours, the passenger side took about 4 minutes.

but the underlying question is: was it worth the 4 hours and 4 minutes and the $300+?

Define "worth it".

Did it give me neck-snapping acceleration? No. But, the better flow added to the other improvements I've made to the engine do make a difference over stock.

And I really like the idea of exhaust heat staying in the exhaust, rather than radiating out under the hood. The electrical components should last much longer.

Scott, you have headers on your 93 or 06? The cast manifolds on the SOHC flow very well. In fact, I've seen a few real dyno results over on explorerforum and elsewhere showing such a small gain in headers you could easily pick up a programmer for the same price and actaully feel something. I am talking about a stock motor. If you had a supercharger, then this might be a worthwhile mod, for instance.... but something simple like a cold air intake and spark plug wires not so much. lol

My point, if you don't already have an SCT programmer and/or catback exhaust I would look into those items first.

On my '06. I have a programmer, too.
