Jon, what do you know of the wild horses 5.5 EB coil VS BC Bronco's 7" EB coil?? Which one you think would be better for more flex?? I've heard the SJ EB coil is a little stiff compared to the other two?? Whats your take on these??

sounds ok to me....but need to find a good way to clean out the rear diff unless you want to pull the whole carrier out...i did mine in the truck but it was pretty dangerous cosidering i caught the gear oil on fire several times, just didnt have the time to pull the carrier

I was gonna pull it, I'll tack it while in the housing to hold them in place, then pull it to do a full weld...It only takes me a couple of minutes to pull mine out...

not really sure, ive been trying to do some research on the subject as im trying to figure out if i want to go with EB springs or XJ springs when i start getting my lift togather

still need something to get the oil out of there...my first tack the whole rearend went up in flames....freaked me the hell out seeing flame shoot up behind my helmet

I got a set of 6" TJ springs I just picked up that will fit an XJ, but they look pretty thin in diameter to me...I'll bring em friday so you can look at them

LMAO, I'm not affraid of fire, but I'll take care of that minor detail when I get there:icon_thumby:

yea i remember you showing them too me....id like to run a nice light spring to get some good flex but the problem is figuring out what the collapsed heigth is with the weight of a ranger on them

xj coils are always pretty thin...my old cherokee's were always very flexxy

I've heard a few RBV's running them, but I'll be running a mild weighted bumper as well as a winch, so I don't know how that will work...As far as the flames, I have a couple of fire extinguishers I keep on hand, and we can also put a piece of cardboard/thin sheetmetal inside the housing to deflect the slag away from the oil....

rick can you setup gears? have the equipment to do so? id like to throw my 373's in the back and find me a jeep dana 35 limited slip to throw in the front with some 3.73's

Yep, got both, I installed and set up Frank's new 4.88 gears...Do you have extra shims to set it up?? What about a new crush sleeve?? I can re-use the old one, but it's not good practice with a different set of gears...If not, I think I've got some left over when I did my 456's...are we doin just the 8.8 out back, or both the D35 and 8.8??
