I believe I have a pair of Duff conversion mounts. I aquired them through somebody so not from Duff direct. Which of course means I did not get the diagram showing where the holes need to be drilled in the frame. Does anybody have the diagram still or a pic of where the holes need to be drilled etc....

From my James Duff install guide..... The Make sure you install the with the bolts down, you may have to do some grinding. I didnt have to do this. The distance between the mount holes for bolting it to the engine is 13.250. When I did mine I measured it and then test fitted the engine to make sure it would be right. I ended up having to make the right hole more oblonged due to how it wanted to go in. Mine is dead level side to side. You will have to test fit the engine complete to see how far you may need to go forward or back. I have about 1/2 inch between the block and the firewall. Good Luck Steve

Thanks for the reply, but I don't understand the above statements...

So am I suppose to bolt the mounts to the engine and lower it down and mark my holes in the crossmember and drill them oblonged as to drop the engine down into the holes?

Is it 13.25" between the holes on the crossmember if I measure straight across hole to hole?

why don't you just call JD and get them to send you the diagram? they could help with any troubleshooting as well

I'm using Mustang mounts, but that's how I did it.

I beleive I have these mounts.

I measured the distance from the top mountin hole to the block. marked the spot and then I lowered the motor with the mounts hooked up to see where the would rest normally. Once I did that I found the area where I should mount the mounts. As for the oblonged holes, for my application I had to oblong the holes a bit on the pass side so it would drop in with ease. If you want to fight it then drill normal. If I had a scanner I would scan it for you.

Been looking it over and test fitting and doing this, that and the other.

I am only running on a 1.5" BL so clearance is tight. Can't run more then that do to the exo-cage being attached to the frame so cannot raise the body and more. I am toying with the idea of using the stock 96 f250 mounts. They seem to be on the same angle as the b2 crossmember and will lower the engine down quite a bit more into the frame as the duff/stang mounts do. Of course the crossmember is in the way, so looking at ways to reconstruct it. As well I am trying to retain the stock f250 oil pan vs buying the crown vic 5.8L pan.

the jd mounts do if you have a 4wd they dont with 2wd gota have the plates for it......i was told to take mustang 5.0 rag top mounts and swap sides....that didnt work either so i have to get the plates......and oh the rag top mounts are $25 each at parts stores and not the $100+ at jd....big rip off
