I've gotten my Splash back...

I made a mistake years ago and sold my `94 extended cab Splash 2wd. After 20 years I found it again. The gentleman I sold her to was going to have her crushed. I reached out to him and asked if he wanted to sell her. He said it has been sitting in the field for over 5 years. The transmission went out in her and that was were she was left. Well, a few days later, I have her home. She's not in the bad of shape.

My reaction is that this is totally awesome. I have often thought about finding my old girls (yes those ones too) and recreating what we went through.

Okay here’s an update so far…
Pulled the bed and replaced the fuel sending unit.
Cleaned the lines and new filter. Found a few wiring issues and got them straight, thank to the members here.
Some fresh gas and she fired right up. She had a bad water pump, so tore that of and replaced everything but the radiator. Will install that this week and pressure test it.
if there are no more engine issues, it’s on to the brakes. Since I have to rebuild all four corners, I am thinking dual piston calipers, not sure about the larger rotors from the sport trac yet. The rear has 3:55 ls gears and 28 spline shafts. I will do rear axle bearings and swap to get rear brakes if I can find them. Wouldn’t mind upgrading to a 31 spline rear, but haven’t found one locally yet…
After this, it’s time to decide what to do with the bad A4LD tranny.

If you get the trans rebuilt, make sure it gets the upgraded internals and definitely do a shift kit, I did the Transgo kit and a few other valve body mods and it made the trans work like an entirely different animal. All of the slop was gone and it would light up the tires if you hit the gas too hard. Not hard to do, just need a lot of patience and care not to scratch anything.
