Gave the ranger new paint tonight. Inspired by Krylon's primer, color Ruddy Brown, and made possible by cheap colorplace cans of the same color, comes a 94 Extended cab short bed 4wheel ranger. The color is awesome. I've done something on the grill and hood too. I'll leave you with that , pics will come monday latest. Current investment: $12.96.

Well, here it is, let me know what you think. I've had mixed opinions on it, but I like it alot.

Here's as of last thursday:

And the new look:

I like the outcome. I can mess up this paint all I want, and just sand and spray for touch up. My cayman green was a mess. Duplicolor cans "pretty much" matched. In the first photo, the bed and front clip are all d.c. rattle cans. After 2 years, the paint began chipping off of the bed arbitrarily. I wanted to do something, and found this color. Its actually a bit browner in person, the camera brought out the orange. Gets all sorts of looks through town, I love it.

Little info on the truck, its a 94 XLT that has been in our family for 4 years, since 130k. Was my brothers for a year, who proceeded to smoke two clutches and hit some shit. I took over the truck two years ago, and banged it up alot. The truck has proven to indestructible, and has garnered the nickname "nine lives". It serves many duties, DD, landscape truck, picking up girls (yea...right), weekend wheeler. Goes 40 miles to school each day, and never complains. I love my ranger.

It's like a red-brown color, or red iron ore-ish. I like it!!

If you ever went wheelin' up here on the iron range, the color would mask the rusted iron ore dust perfectly, (unfortunatly, this dust will also stain the tires perminantly)

Looking good. Always wanted to do something like that, i'm sick of the boring black. Nice job

very nice, cant say i have ever seen a ranger that color.

looks like you painted the truck with the mud we have at Knoxville orv area.
you need my tires for a total match:icon_thumby:

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I'm thinking about clearing it. But I like the unf***ability of just primer. Now I need white wagon wheels to go along with the other accents! This is never gonna end...
