The drivers side came off easy with a 1/2 drive ratchet. the passenger side had to have some persuasion with a breaker bar. Also the factory bolts would not fit through the opening in the new shackle so I had to spend $17.00 at the hardware store for all new bolts, nuts, and washers. It was just as well cause I couldn't see reusing the old ones! Also the new shackle grommets would not fit in the upper receiver, so I had to bend the outer tabs out to get it to slide in, and a little hammer work helped too! Overall I got 1 1/2" - 1 3/4" inches of lift with the "lowering" shackles. Let me know if you have any questions. Hope this helps
