Well after about two years of daily abuse from myself and at least two years of previous abuse from my older brother my 84 B2 finaly gave up. Now for me this is bitter sweet news it means that i will no longer have to deal with that gutless 2.8 and can start a small block swap. And the down side is that now i have to rely on my 89 B2 which is only 2wd and runs like cold sh*t. so here is my list of things to do. get the 89 running better within the next week and a half. ill finaly be done with school on the 23rd so i plan on getting the hell out of denver before christmas. then ill be headed to NM to visit some faimly and if im lucky ill be able to bring my 86 B2 and 85 ranger back up on the first. then ill be looking for a house and a job somewhere in colorado springs. and begin work on the 84.

Plans for the 84:
Engine: 302 or 351W
Trans: T18 or NP435
T case: NP205 converted to twin stick
Axles: full width HP D44 and 9" with a minny spool.

this build is going to be for my older brother for when he gets out of the army, so for now its not going to be to crazy suspenshion wise. probably coils up front and leafs out back. with enugh lift to run 35's

so thats the plan for now. let me know what you think.

its peanut butter and 351 time:headbang:

and here I thought is was 302 and jelly time. Silly me.:icon_rofl:

Ok im not going to lie im pretty lost with the peanut butter and jelly thing. but thanks for the input.

Both good engines. I've had both in my 92 ext cab. I like the 302. Also its not as wide or as tall as the 351W.

You simply can't go wrong with a V8 swap. Everything about a 351 swap will cost you more though. For my money, I'd go with a 302 and the least amount of lift possible, cut the fenders & use the money you saved on unnesesary suspension lift to buy a nice set of cut-out flares.:icon_welder:
