i got the itch, been a while since i had a ranger, imma give up a car i love in hopes of trading for a ranger the way i want it. the thing that these trucks does to a person is ludicris i say.....

BTW just pluggin myself, its a 1990 Lincloln Mark VII LSC, ext cab, stick 4wd musts for a ranger ill trade for, 4.0 5spd, optimal setup straight across, first gen and second id say cash and truck depending on shape of said truck, what would u guys think

the lincoln since its a 90 LSC has a H.O. Roller Motor, has a rebuilt AOD with a mild stall converter and shift kit(car will catch second shifting at 5500)
engine is very healthy despite 176k miles +- in drive this car never saw above 4500 rpm. all new ball joints, good alingment, think it may need a stabilizer link, brand new airbags that DO NOT LEAK EVER, the ride is amazing in this car(even though im sure it could use shocks). everything in it works as it should. Brand new tires on the car, decent paint, solid 20 footer 80's "leather" ford front seat wear lol

so do u guys think im being rediculous with what i would want out of this car, or do people just dont like the LSC's?

How do you know it'll catch 2nd gear at 5500 rpm if it's never seen above 4500 rpm? Just sayin...

If you want to trade, it's all about somebody who has what you want wanting what you've got.

what i said is in drive it never sees above 4500 rpms, but if u drive it manually itll easily catch second at anything above 4800.
since i have owned it it has never seen above 5600, well within safe operating range for a roller 5.0

welp, its time, the car is up for trade:bawling:

i just dont think people understand the motor and stuff that is in them... that and they aint exactly the sexiest car.

its funny, i advanced the timing to 14 when i got it, run only premium, if i drive it manualy and never take it above 5500 most stock 5spd mustangs around here dont know what just the **** happened to them LOL

normally i drive like grandpa in a grandpa looking car lol

everyone tells me it definatly looks like i should be dealing some sort of drugs lol

just a thought, how do u think the grill looks on it, i used the black chrome duplicolor shit, was thinkin about doin all the chrome into black chrome

My car thinks 6250 is within the operating range :D LOL

I don't like your grill , it looks like the grill is missing , should have left it chrome or painted it to match the car .

the tauras sho we have is that way... granny car... with the 3.4 v8, will run with mustangs. its really really funny to lit them up in the tauras

OK, I gotta chime in. There ain't no stock Taurus or Mark VII that can hang with my Mustang when I'm driving it. Even when it was stock with 2.73's. My car has very seldom been beat. The SHO Taurus is a breeze for my car (even the Yamaha V6 and a 5 speed). You guys must have gotten some really crappy drivers (which I know there are many) if you hung with a Mustang.

My point is not to discredit your statements, but to rather let you know that a properly driven a Mustang is pretty tough to beat with a Taurus or Mark VII with an AOD.

and i understand what you are saying- but a lot of the guys here can't drive.. or don't drive them to the max on the regular road. just to hang beside a mustang when they accerlate from a red light is gonna freak them out, and they push it more- so i push it more and stay with them.. if they redlined it i'm sure they could take off on me.. but i'm not actually out there streetracing... just pushing them a lil- messing with their ego's

:icon_thumby: gotcha.

I gotta stick up for my Fox! LOL

im sticking up for my fox body aswell lol. and it is VERY possible to walk a stock 5.0 5spd around here even if the person can drive, nobody around here knows what it means to TUNE a car lol....

and changing the timing and the shift kit and stall converter makes all the difference
