The other day while changing the valve cover gaskets on my 2.9 I noticed the gasket between the head and intake had bowed in a little bit, appx 1/8" this was between the 4 & 5 cylinder. I looked at the others and it was flat everywhere else. It was in the open space between and there wasn't really anything that it sets against, so I didn't think it was an issue. Any reason I should be concerned at this point? It does have idle issues, rough idle at start up. Pulled a code 12 on KOER: "cannot control rpm during self test high rpm check". I pulled IAC off and "cleaned" it with MAP cleaner, but it didn't help. I don't think this gasket issue has anything to do with the rough idle issue..but I'm not a mechanic and don't know for sure.
