For the most part, its what im looking for. 4x4, 4.0, manual, sounds like it has maintenance records etc... the only issues are that its a regular cab (only wanted an ext cab to fit subwoofers, but I might be able to fit them anyways), and the km's. For you americans, 267,000km's = 165,906 miles. If i can talk the guy down to $2000ish, would that be a good deal?

1993 Ford Ranger, 4.0 v6, Manual, 267,000km, 4x4, starts every time and no blue or black smoke! No rust as its been repainted! New tires put on which was just under $900, Oil and filter changed and full check up this week! lots of new parts over this past year water pump, rear drums and pads, spark plugs and leads. got receipts for all new and past parts put on truck. Great truck lots of life left!

Ya i guess.. im just getting frusterated. Im not seeing any nice rangers that are: 4x4, 4L, xlt AND a 5spd for my budget of $2500-$3000... Even as old as a 91, people are still asking crazy ammounts for rangers with 300,000km+. I guess Ill just keep holding out till I find the right one.

i was just looking thru my local kijiji and it seems that price is actually fair market value. but i would still shy away from it because of high mileage. i take it you are in Canada? where are you located?

I sold my 94 with 186000 on it for $2300. The 4.0 can go well over 200k, so I'd say the miles aren't that high.

British Columbia, people around here must think these things are made of gold, with how much they're asking. Though toyota's are worse. Im often seeing the 22re 4x4 pickups going for $3000+ with well over 300,000km's. They may not be seeing at those prices, but everyone seems to be asking for those amounts lol.

Ya, its also $1000 more, and its auto. I may go with an explorer instead. They all come with the 4L, and there are lots in my price range. Plus it'll be easy to have a sub enclosure :P

They all come with the 4L

sorry for the correction, but they don't all come with 4L.AWD's like my 96 5.0 are high range only.edit-i would jump on a clean rig like that for $2000.bodywork costs more than an engine swap, which you probably won't need.

Honestly........ I wouldn't be afraid of it. But around here that truck would be considered a great deal, or at least a pretty good one.

Yea....by the time i got my 93 all fixed up, including the price of the truck, i have about 2300 into it. I have 130k on mine. With the new rubber, if everything is in working order i would say 2k isnt an outrageous price.....see if he would take 1800

4 Liter, not 4 Low.

oops...i stand corrected:icon_twisted:......well,sort of.they didn't all come with 4.0 engines either.as stated above my 96 has a 5.0.:icon_thumby:but i understand the point now,he's not wanting a 4 cylinder.

I'd buy that thing. Its pretty hard to find any good Regular Cab 4x4's around here...

The price seems fair but I'd consider holding out for an extended cab. My last truck (S-10) was a regular cab and I sat with the seat 1 notch from all the way back. That would be fine, but I'm only 5' 5" (166cm) and I know most men are taller than me. It would be worth the wait to try to find the extended cab (it's also nice to be able to keep things in the cab of the truck).
