i have an 89 with a 2.3 and a 5 speed. i just put new brakes on it, and they were working fine. I was driving doen the highway (exceeding the speed limit of course) and i blew out the clutch. when i tried to tow it we found out the brakes dont work anymore. they work when it' soff but when i start the truck they have no pressure. could that be because i have a hysraulic clutch and when i fix that the brakes will work?

The brake and clutch systems are not connected in any way so that's not likely the issue...more likely your booster vac hose is off or there are other problems with the braking system/booster...
