Is this 5.0l swap possible?

I'm thinking of getting an explorer sport trac, 2001, 5.0 truck.
Is it possible to use this donor truck for my ranger 1995 3.0l truck?
Are there issues that I may likely come in contact with along the line, before even starting off with this project?
I hear a whole talk about PATS, etc.
Please advise.
Do I need to get an older model explorer 5.0 for my 1995 truck, or what?

A U.S. spec 95 Ranger would have EEC IV/ OBD I and anything newer would have EEC V/ OBD II so the wiring might be a challenge.

Oh my God! Isn't it possible swapping everything out of the explorer like the wiring harnesses PATS, and ECU to the ranger? Won't that work?

It should work but do some research first. The 95 has an electronically controller speedometer, I think an 01 had a PSOM- programmable speedometer/odometer module. Look in the tech library here, there's a lot of info.
