Is there a way to figure out what lift this is?

1997 Ranger. 4WD. It came with a lift, but it's got rust issues (nothing that can't be taken care of) and I cannot figure out for the life of me what lift this is. I cannot find a brand name anywhere. I'm assuming 4" as it fits the 31" tires very nicely. Any advice on where to look? The shocks do appear to be FoMoCo...

Regardless, I'd love to figure this out so we can get a baseline so we can figure out what shocks to get and what else needs to be replaced. Thank you.

Oh shoot. Ok. For some reason I thought I had read you need a lift to fit 31's! That's great. Then we can just look for shocks for a stock 4WD Ranger to replace the current ones. Thank you!

Gen 1 and 2 trucks need a lift for 31 inch tires. 31's will fit on the later trucks.

Is there a favorite shock for this truck? It'll be mostly on road with some typical teenager screwing around.

I think a fair number of people like Bilstein. I’m running Skyjackers.

Bilstein have high reviews, KYB Monomax might be a better price, anything is likely to be better than 29 year old stockers

Yeah, that's stock suspension, the fenderwells got pretty big in '93 so 31's fit pretty nicely, they're snug on '89-92's but I ran those for a few years on my '90.
