This is the ford engine mount I have found that seems to be associated with the 302 and some swaps.
I have an 87 std cab, four banger is now gone, mount pillars removed, rubber mounts as well.
what I have is a very clean place for an Explorer (97) engine to live.
Using the stock Explorer plates on left and right, is the above Ford mount acceptable to be retrofitted on the crossmember or frame rail?
if not, can someone give me a make and part number for new rubber mounts?
Caveat- I have no issues with fabricating new motor plates to any universal or specific hole pattern. So if the suggested Ford mounts make the frame/crossmember happy, then I can make new engine plates to suit the mounts.
I did not buy a kit nor will I. I see no need. But the rubber mounts (this is new territory for me) needed for the 87 chassis is the part I can’t conclude on.
Thanks in advance for the help. I have searched sticky’s and the info library but it only appears to be cut and dry if using Advance Adaptors plates and a chassis fitted with a V6 prior.
