Is the bolt pattern the same?

This question is for my husband- so if my "phrasing" isn't perfect please don't laugh! (I'm utterly non-mechanical).. He needs to know if the bolt pattern on a 1985 2.8 Ranger is the same as the pattern on a 1985 2.0? He has the chance to buy the 2.8 for parts but has to know if it's compatible this morning in order to let the seller know for certain if he wants it. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

No, the bolt pattern for the engine to the transmission is not even close to the same.
