I really need to know this.
I replaced my 4.0 with one that apparently came out of an Explorer, and used the harness still connected to the donor motor.
My O/D light is flashing, and when I scanned the codes I got:
P0743 - Torque converter clutch
P0750 - Shift Solenoid A
P0760 - Shift Solenoid C
P1445 - Manufacturer Control (Purge Flow Sensor Circuit High Input)
The motor had a tag that said it was from a 96 Explorer, but all the connections plugged together. I'm wondering if there is a difference in the wiring in the harness on the Explorer motor vs the Ranger motor? I really want some confirmation before I pull the harness off and switch it.
