Is tail gate latch the same as Ranger?

Most stuff is same Mazda / Ranger but some things are different. Is this one of them? I can't find cheap place that matches to Mazda but ton of them match Ranger.
What happens is the rubber surround of the latch gets worn then the latch moves in its mounting and its tooth then doesn't engage the latch plate. So I got only one side holding the tail gate.
Web is saying Ranger latch won't fit my truck.
Anyways I'm looking for source for it if anyone can find it I been looking around with no luck so far
Don't want junkyard one it would probably be worn the same

Does the ranger one look like the Mazda one? I can't see them being so different that a new set wouldn't fit and work properly.

it is 82-092 compare to 6 in the lower diagram
but in the link they are $160 if Ranger fits they are like $12

yeah I'm getting a pair of tail light lenses from Rock Auto anyway. I'm getting the $18 one. Still really cheap compared to 160 or 108.

Tailgates are identical between Rangers and Mazdas. For longest time, my niece's Ranger's tailgate had Mazda on it, as it came from a B series and the lettering wouldn't remove cleanly/left difference in fading. (Who would have thought white fades).

I don't know how much I had to replace in my daughter's B4000 after her tailgate latch broke, but I stole parts from a Ranger tailgate in garage until it was working (she still owes me a replacement come to think of it...)
