Ok how to explain. Couple days ago I put my rig in 4 wheel drive and stated hearing a clicking noise. Today in 2 wheel drive on highway it started to make this loud noise and the truck vibrated bad. I but it up on stands and let it run. The noise seems to be where the "cup" on the drive shaft hooks to the T-case. Took of front drive shaft let truck run no noise. How do I know if the drive shaft is bad. That "cup/CV" joint seems to move around a lot but not sure how it should feel. I would hate to make a $300.00 bad decision. Thanks :icon_confused:

I am not familiar with the 2000 trucks but it sounds a aweful lot like a bad U joint on the drive shaft.

U joints are not very expensive and not too hard to change.

well it only has 1 u joint and that's in the front and that seems ok. I has like a bowl at the other end that hooks up to the T case. Thats what I need to figure out if its bad or not
