After driving one of my friends cars, a actually decent civic, I thought to myself...:icon_idea:...what if you put a b16 (civic si motor) in a street ranger, personally I think it would be a cool swap for a 2wd street ranger, to bad I'm going the offroad route with my 2wd...

Is this wrong, a ricer motor, in a truck?

Nope... well in my opinion it isn't. I hate "ricers" (an utterly pathetic car that had a cheap muffler and intake put on and then a zip tied body kit) But Some people know wat they are doing and build sweet little engines. If you actually spend more money making a decent engine then the looks of the car i think your cool.

you can still go with a 2.3T motor for your off road ranger?

Honda's have no torque.Great motors just they have no balls going up a hill.Take it from a former owner of gen1+2 tegs' and gen3 civic si.

I see no reason to when you can build a 2.3 that will bolt right in.

My toilet has more liters per flush than that engine has displacement.

No that would be a horribly gay swap. The only reason that engine runs like a champ when built is that they are in light cars. Unless you get your truck to 1800# you would hate yourself so so much for doing that.

If you want a honda engine, at least swap in a real one...

+1
Even a 2wd Ranger probably weighs around 3500 lb. It ain't going anywhere with a Honda engine in it.

here comes another copy of the fast and the furious Tokyo drift want to be car!!!

or what about a f20 out of a s2000, those got like over 200hp and like 180flbs and its already a rwd...

i dont plan on doing it, just a thought

Yeah, don't. My buddy had a 1.9 Civic, manual no p/s. I have a 2.9 Ranger, manual 4x4 with P/S. he could barely keep up with me on the flats and had no hope of it on the hills. And that was right after I did a full tune-up.

yeah any honda is just a plain BAD idea. WHY do a swap like that, with tons of work, to end up with something that sounds like shit and has no balls, when you can do a practically bolt in 2.3t swap that will run like a raped ape.

I actually like his truck... alot of work into it and it doesn't look like everything else. Sure a few things i'd do different but still good work.

That's what the picture was of. That's in a ranger right now.

i like the truck too and i wasn't saying that it isn't a nice truck at all ... If you watch the movie The fast and the furious Tokyo drift they put a import engine in a old mustang where a V-8 use to be!!!
