Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi from Southeastern MA. A little about me is that I'm 20 years old and am currently a junior in college. Before I bought my ranger I had a 98, 2X4 toyota tacoma. The toyota was my dad's idea even though he drives an F-250. He had a tacoma 4X4 when he was younger but had to sell it when I was born. He loved that truck and I think he was hoping I would love mine just as much. Well he was wrong....

Best part about that truck was when the frame rotted out on it and was recalled by toyota. I paid $6,200 for the truck initially, drove it around for 2 and a half years and then gave it back to toyota for $9,000. Took 6k from that and went and bought my ranger. The rest went in the bank account.

I've had my ranger since september, 2008 and I've never been happier. The first thing I did to it was add the camo wraps that my mom had bought for me for christmas years ago. So now I have a two-tone black/new mossy oak ranger. As far as performance I have a Jet performance programmer and a K&N Cold Air Intake. I've also added a Curt Class III hitch and a Rustoleum paint-on bedliner. The only other work I've done is a passenger-side, upper ball joint (pain in the ass) and routine maintenace.

I'd love to lift my truck some day and swap in a 302 or 351W with some one-ton axles, but that requires both time and money, neither of which I have. Also, since my truck is my daily driver, I'd need another vehicle while working on the modifications.

Anyway, I think this site is great with a ton of information. I'll be sure to keep reffering to it for any future questions that I have. Thanks TRS.

Well... I thought something totally different when I first saw the thread title

I just love it when I'm driving my truck and it feels like an extension of my body. :icon_thumby: She's talking to me.
Am I crazy for talking to my truck? :icon_twisted:
We all love our trucks. They represent us.

My wife tell's me if i could get my truck into the bedroom i would!! My reply was.... At least it does not fart and snore.

Haha nice. Ya my girlfriend keeps calling my truck "the other woman." The only thing is she likes my truck just as much as me, she's just not willing to admit it.

But if I could get the two of them in the bedroom at the same time, am I allowed to call it a threesome?:D:icon_hornsup::icon_rofl:

Exhaust is for out only!

...welcome to TRS. I love my truck too, and spent more time with it than my ex girlfriend. Hence the "ex" part. Haha!

No, it is not wrong to love your truck! Hell I love my truck to death! She is always there for me, never talks back, dependable, looks dang good, and even sounds good. Its a great reraltionship...lol. The fiance says i'd rather marry my truck than her...lol. The bad thing is that everyone else know how much i love my truck too! They know i would kill if somthing happened to her!

Ya, someone keyed the entire passenger side of my truck at school about two weeks ago (managed to fill it in will scratch filler clear coat resin, but you can still see it if you look closely :bawling:) My girlfriend keeps telling me that she would have loved seeing me catch the person in the act, and I keep telling her that its a good thing that I didn't because I would be in jail right now on murder charges...

My girl says I love my truck more than her. She is correct.

Jay, I can always count on a good laugh from you:icon_rofl:

Welcome to TRS Camo Ranger, hopelfully you'll find it as awesome as we do. And for the record my truck was a bit of an asshole when I first got it but now we've grown together. I think these machines are more than just metal and plastic. They are an expression of us on 4 wheels.

Well, if you look at my truck, you'd see it has a dark maroon (damn close to purple) body with a teal green cap. The truck looks odd, like it's owner.
They'd also see it pratical, reliable, and has a few bumps and scrapes. Again, the truck is like it's owner.
In my case, the truck can tell you a lot about me.
