I want to start my next wheeler project (93+ ,4.0,stick,shortbed,d35/8.8,ttb) this is my baseline -what year b4000 if any has this. Have located a 94 b4000 shortbed stick $2500 pretty clean on a lot about 150 miles from me -if it is ttb d35/8.8 I will get it saturday. If it is IFS I will pass. Thanks for reading:icon_confused:

97 and earlier 4x4 rangers/mazdas are TTB. And since its a B4000 that means its the 4.0 which also means its got the 8.8 out back :icon_thumby:

way cool

so this is basicilly a 94 ranger? I will get it friday or saturday :yahoo: before I drive the 150 miles are there any questions that are worth asking the dealer that would deal with b4000's (I am a service writer at a 14 bay shop so i know the general stuff)

Yep, essentially a rebadged ranger with different trim. Only thing i've really ever found suprising when looking at buying a ranger was the famous "hole in the front diff" caused by the drop bracket style lift kit on the truck.:shok: the dealer wanted to act like he knew nothing about it and claimed that it wouldn't negatively affect the truck:icon_rofl:
