Thanks for letting me join and for the awesome tech library. I just picked up a decent looking 96 Splash Extended cab 4.0 for my 16 year old. It has 100k so I Changed out plugs and wires and it runs decent. After reading on here, I'll probably order an EGR and transmission filter and do those next. I'd sure welcome any and all advice on making this a good reliable little truck for him. Also, the front seat is crappy. Do I need to find another seat from an extended cab 93-97 Ranger or will a 60/40 seat from a standard cab bolt in?
