First of all this problem is occurring on a 1995 ford ranger 4x4 with a 4.0 v6. Well I'll be driving along everything is working fine then out of no where the truck dies. Then it won't restart for 2 or 3 minutes but then it starts back up like nothings wrong. I figure its gotta be either fuel or ignition. Anyone else have this problem?

I've heard there are heat-related issues with the ignition modules in those 2nd gen trucks, you might try and find info about that in the tech library and the 4.0 engine forum.

Others probably have more details than I.

I once had a Jeep with the module problem. I put a bag of ICE on the module and away we went! Took three bags to get from west Texas back home.

First thing to do is the next time it goes south spray some carb cleaner or diesel starter into the intake. If it starts then you have a fuel problem. If not then it is lectric!

Well we figured it out it turned put to be a bad fuel pump cut off switch. We replaced that and it hasn't done it since. I appreciate all of your suggestions anyways.
