Interior light comes on of own accord

My 95 Ranger's interior light has started to come on occasionally while driving. Flipping switches or opening/closing doors does not turn it off. So far it has just gone out on its own a few or several minutes later. I am told that possibly the door switch is loose. Could this be the cause and if so where is the door switch? Thanks
