hey guys need some help I bought my son a 1999 ranger reg. cab has a 3 position dome light i put new bulbs in it but still nothing. I took the lense off it and unscrewed the bracket from the roof there are two wires that are connected to the cab roof but I don't see how they connect to the bracket to power the light I was wondering if someone could tell me how this works and how I can fix it.

the screws that hold the light up make contact with a connector inside an that transfers power from the wires to the light... their should be 3 screws holding itu p .

Could also be the switch at the doot latch. Does the door "dinger" thingy work? The switch is well hidden, incorperated into the door latch mechanism. It is common for them to stick, but usually they stick to where the light stays on when the door is closed...
