I recently replaced my trans, and nothing but my trans, and afterward my speedometer is off. To give you some examples, my odometer reads .9 miles for every 1 mile i travel. (more or less)
at about 55mph I'm traveling roughly 60-62mph

before the transmission replacement there was no problem. it was almost perfectly accurate. and the trans was a direct replacement, reman from the same model same year.

94, 2.3l, 5 speed, 2wd. 3.73, 7.5 rear. stock tires.

help anyone?

The new transmission probably has a different speedometer driving gear than the old one. Pull the driving gear out of the old tranny and stick it in the new tranny.

i don't have the old tranny anymore, core charge, and I replaced about 7 months ago, just been dealing with it. Any other way to fix it?

The only way to fix it is to change gears. If you change the driving gear, it's be exactly how it was before. You can also change the driven gear, which is easier, but may not get you as exact a speedometer reading.
