On my 86 B2 I was reading through the tech library and was trying to figure out the best way to run a 31" or 32" m/t tire. I have seen some post about 3" body lifts still not being able to turn 32" tires without trimming. I am not wanting to go too big because I am going to keep my d28. I also saw a few articles in the tech library about put together lift kits. I didnt find any articles that specifically said the parts they used. I was just curious about different ways I can piece together a lift kit on a budget. I can't weld or anything so if there is a way to get a lil extra lift for bigger tires without that amount of modification id be interested in knowing. If not o well ill keep my 29" m/ts and enjoy it like i already am.

Id say put some washer spacers under the front and the longer shackles in the back then you have a 2" lift and plenty of room for some nice 31" mts

Which shackles are you referring to for the rear. Any idea where I could find them? I found the AA shackles for my 99 explorer but havent found any for the B2

I believe the hangers on a b2 are the same as on my ranger. Im running a autozone chevy droop shackle on my truck. Idk the exact part number but there exactly the same as the belltech 6400 shackles in the tech library

The washers on the front are those the ones at autozone you used. The rubber rings

No i bought some washers from fastenal and stuck them under the spring. It wasnt much money if i remember right. Theres a write up in the tech library on what size to get and everything.

Would it work the same with f-150 coils in the front and the shackles in the back? I am not sure what the lift will be with the f-150 coils

It should. i have no experience with the f150 coils. I always assumed they would ride rougher than stock

ok i am just thinking about some easy ways of getting some lift outta the B2 ill probably look into the washers and shackles

Found this kit on ebay for about $40. This is the same thing as the washer right? It is billet aluminum. Says its good for a 2" lift.

With a 3" bodylift and new Explorer coils I can still rub 31's on the front if I hit certain bumps just right.

When I got my 84 B2 all it had was a 3" body lift and some minor trimming and was sitting on 36"s so anything is possable.

Wow 36" tires with a 3" body lift good job! I dont quite want to go that big because i am sure it will destroy my d28 lol. I might try the coil spacers with add a leaf and a 3" body lift. I dont want to get too high because the more room i have the bigger tires ill want :icon_hornsup:
