Insurance after lift

this has crossed my mind... but im not worrying about it... im one of those morons. What the insurance company doesn't know wont hurt my wallet any more then they already do.
I'm going to make my $300 a month worth it damnit!
the insuance company isen't the cops.you can ask about your policy covering lifted trucks without them knowing you have one.but at 300$ a month i'de want to know that when the time comes(think of shoeboy or some of the other poor bastards who wrecked their trucks recently),you are covered and that the money you have been paying isen't wasted with no refund! plus the fact you could walk away from an accident tens of thousands of dollars in debt and still have a broken truck.i've seen it with my own eyes dude772,you should just call and make sure.if they say no it only takes a visit to your local insurance broker to get a company who is giving you something in return for your 300$ a month.

Called the statefarm today and here is what I got:

With lift kit my truck will be in "modified" field, which would increase my bill by $50 for 6 months. And they would not be able to do full coverage (which is ok)
That works out pretty good.

I called Esurance. There was a language barrier, but from what I understand they cover modded trucks the same as stock.

He did say: if you have collision coverage and you get into a wreck, your aftermarket parts are not covered. Seems reasonable.

I might call and check again, as this guy struggled with the English language, and I'm also weak when it comes to understanding foreign accents.

I wreck my truck about 2 years ago and they told me that anything I had after market that was on the truck was mine.
I could get it off if I wanted it.

i will place a call in the morning and report if my company covers too.....good idea man....
