hey all,

im looking to try and change the color of my instrument panel from green to red when lit up on my 09 mazda b4000 so i was wondering if anybody had some insite on this would be appreciated. all that i have found so far in that its the film on the inlay not the bulbs and i have to scape it and paint in with a glass paint not sure if that applies to my truck as i found it on a ranger diy page.

you could scrape the film off and get red led dash lights .... i forgot the bulb style someone will chime in with that info

You can not put a red bulb behind the green and expect red. You will need to scrape off the green (Somehow) and then either paint it red or use red bulbs.

Also, if you use LED's and want to put a red bulb behind a red lens it will cancel it out and wont be as red as if you would use a clear bulb behind a red (or other color lens/bulb combo)
