Instrument Cluster swap

I've looked around the web and found conflicting answers so i thought i'd ask for myself and just trust the answer i get.

I have a 2000 2.5l xlt w/ manual trans
I want to swap in an instrument panel that has a tach as mine currently does not.

ull need a 98-03 cluster for your truck, i have a 99 and i swapped a 02 sport trac cluster

the one u posted works fine
only downside is that instead of reset fuel light ull get a check fuel cap light with 01-03 clusters, not a big deal tho.

I;ve got the same truck and I did the same thing. You can even pull from an explorer if you want to. thats what I did. Mine is from a 98 explorer and it works beautifully. to answer your question, yes that one will work but I wouldnt buy from there. go to your local pick n pull or whatever junkyard and find one and learn how to pull it out without damaging anything so you dont break your truck and it's cheaper that way ( mine was around $45 ) MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS!

follow the steps to make sure you dont throw off your speedometer when changing your odometer. Luckily I got mine the first try so take your time, it's worth it.
