Instrument Cluster LED Bulb Replacement

:icon_confused:Ok here's my delimma. I have a 2005 FX4 and I am trying to convert the OEM bulbs with LED'S. I have been reading many forum articles and all said to get 194 bulbs. So I did from ebay and when I went to change them today, they were the wrong ones. I can't find the correct bulb number for my truck. All of the pictures show the bulb socket sticking out from the back of the cluster, mine do not, they are recessed into the back of the cluster and require a pair of needle nose ppliers to remove. Also these bulbs do not seperate from the socket, they are one piece construction and very small,(smaller than 194's). Please help as I want to get the correct ones ordered and finish the job. One bulb did fit my overhead light. Oh and please let me know what bulbs fit the HVAC area too. Thank you all in advance.
Here is a picture of the back side of cluster for reference/ you can see where the bulbs go in at.

I think it'd be a #74 bulb, Turn the bulb out about 1/3 turn (this is very tight and will require a needle nose pliers).

I can get the bulbs out in the sockets, but I can't find replacements in an LED bulb. Ford tells me I have the expensive bulbs and are one piece construction, they do not pull out of the socket, NEED HELP!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure of the actual bulb #, but I have led's that will plug into the oem sockets... once you get the old bulbs out.

They are VERY stubborn, wrap some tape around the actual glass bulb for more grip & gently rock it back & forth until it finally gives up. Like I said, they're stubborn but they will come out. I have several guys on other Ranger forums using my plug-in led's in the newer (as well as older) clusters & hvac panels & they look so much better than the old yellowish bulbs.

If you haven't found the bulbs already, drop me a message & I'll be glad to get you set up.

I did manage to get the bulbs out with some tape. I tried some bulds from superbrights but they are directional and dont light up the whole cluster. It looks like crap and I dont like it. I want all my cluster to light up without having to put in light strips(I'm not very electrical minded)I also put in blue lights, but now I think id rather have red lights instead. They are a #74 bulb by the way, I did get rid of the green paint on the dials, and just took out the oer for the HVAC. You say you have lights? how much i would need 11 in all.

Can't really add to your solution but I was looking at a 2005 FX4 the other day...it's for sale and I was wondering about things like dash lights...lol...only because of the time I went through with swapping out the ones in my 88...hope you find what you need/want...
